Mohamed bin Zayed Festival for Purebred Arabian Camel Racing ‘Al Sawan – 2023-2024’ begins tomorrow

Under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the 13th edition of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Festival for Purebred Arabian Camel Racing (Al Sawan – 2023-2024) will kick off tomorrow morning at Al Sawan Camel race track in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
The festival will continue for 6 days, featuring competitions across various categories. These exciting races will showcase the skilled riders vying for valuable cash prizes and in-kind rewards.
Notably, this year’s competition will feature a staggering 174 rounds with 12 symbols, along with 7 additional rounds dedicated to the traditional heritage race.
The organising committee has allocated millions of Dirhams in prize money.
The festival enjoys strong backing and unwavering support from the UAE’s visionary leadership. It has become a cherished annual gathering for the Emirates, eagerly awaited by passionate camel racing enthusiasts and spectators alike. These competitions, deeply embedded in the UAE’s cultural fabric, were close to the heart of the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. His immense wisdom, dedication, and foresight drove him to preserve this ancestral legacy, ensuring its vibrant passage through generations.
