MOCD lauds Enable Foundation’s efforts to integrate people with special needs

Her Excellency Najla bint Mohammad Al Awar, Minister of Community Development, (MOCD) received a delegation from Enable Foundation – part of Desert Group – at her office in the Ministry headquarters in Dubai.
The delegation was headed by Reem Al Ghaith, Director-General of the Foundation, which is one of the leading national institutions working to integrate people with disabilities in the workplace. Al Awar honoured the Foundation for successfully training and employing more than 30 Emirati nationals with mild mental disabilities in commercial and agricultural institutions, in addition to enabling them to launch their own commercial projects. The minister praised the Foundation for its efforts to promote social responsibility, and support people with disabilities and build their capacities, which stands to improve their lives, as well as society as a whole.
HE Al Awar stressed the continuity of the cooperation between the Ministry and the Foundation in an effort to promote social solidarity as a means to support this segment of society through training programmes, as well as to promote Enable’s products in the Ministry’s exhibitions across the UAE.
Meanwhile, Reem Al Ghaith expressed her appreciation to the Ministry of Community Development for its efforts to promote solidarity and cooperation with private companies to support people with disabilities.
Al Ghaith maintained that the Foundation’s success in training and employing people with disabilities is a result of the continuous collaboration between Enable and the ministry.
, which was instrumental in developing and implementing initiatives that consolidate efforts between government and public institutions. This collaboration, Al Ghaith assured, is a catalyst that allows the Foundation to achieve its social mission.
