Ministry of Interior organsies workshop on innovation

Developing an innovation-based mechanism to everyday challenges was the core and crux of a workshop organised by the Ministry of Interior’s Innovation Bureau in the presence of a number of the ministry’s experts and strategic partners.
The workshop, held in line
with the directives of the HH
Lt General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior,
is aimed to contribute to efforts tirelessly made nationwide to groom a generation of national cadres capable of assuming leadership roles by providing an
enabling environment conductive to helping them unleash their innovative potential and capabilities, said Brigadier Mohammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Secretary General of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister.
Concepts of innovation, quality and distinction have become an integral part of strategies adopted by the Ministry of Interior as well as other state departments where no efforts are spared to adopt
best practices in line with international standards withe the
ultimate objective of forging
sustainable solutions to busi-
ness multi-faceted challenges, Brigadier Al Dhaheri added.
For his part, Major Muhammad Al Harmoudi, Director of the Ministry’s Innovation Centre, said the workshop shed light on eight main subjects, including cyber security, satellite and space sciences, renewable energy, robots and artificial intelligence, digital technology, social media and semiconductors, adopting efficient interactive ways to engage the participants and help them come up with realistic solutions to common challenges.
A set of recommendations were developed by the workshop and raised to the law enforcement entities concerned for review.
