The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) announced its intentions to extend the Nobel Museum until May 4, following directives from His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Foundation.
MBRF is organising the Museum for the third consecutive year. This year’s edition bears the theme “The Nobel Prize in Physics: Understanding Matter†and is taking place at the Children’s City in Dubai Creek Park.
The Nobel Museum 2017 highlights scientific discoveries and achievements in the field of physics, and celebrates scientists, innovators, and Nobel laureates in physics. Over the course of a month, it has attracted thousands of visitors including students from universities and schools, academics, and professionals, along with people from all segments of
society.
His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, said: “The extension of the Nobel Museum 2017 came in response to the impressive turnout and the enthusiasm expressed by the public, especially school and university students; the museum offers them an ideal platform to learn about the history, innovations, and discoveries of physics – an important and dynamic field of science. The event also provided a source of inspiration for young people, motivating them to work hard so that, one day, they too can be among these explorers and scientists who’ve won the Nobel Prize in physics.â€
The Nobel Museum 2017 is made up of eight different sections: Rays and Waves, Matter, Stars and Universe, Electronics, Quantum Physics, Cloud Chamber, Laureate Arena, and the VR Experience section. The Nobel Museum 2017 opens its doors to visitors from Sunday to Thursday, 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, and from 3:00 pm till 8:00 pm on Friday and Saturday.
