MBRF signs MoU with AMIDEAST and Aramex at GITEX Week

Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation (MBRF) concluded its first successful participation in GITEX Technology Week 2016, which took place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from October 16 to 20.
During the event, the Foundation signed a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding with several leading agencies and private sector entities.
MBRF signed a MoU with AMIDEAST company to strengthen cooperation between the two parties and to coordinate joint efforts to serve the community. MBRF and AMIDEAST will explore initiatives and sustainable programs to enhance R&D to establish a new generation of scientists, thinkers and researchers in line with the UAE National Agenda 2021.
His Excellency Theodore H. Kattouf, AMIDEAST’s President, and former US ambassador to the UAE, said: “AMIDEAST is proud of its partnership with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation. We have been providing educational and training services in the Middle East since 65 years, and we plan to develop education and training programs that contribute to the expansion of opportunities for young people, employees and entrepreneurs and trainers.”
MBRF also signed a partnership agreement with Aramex, the Dubai-based global provider of transportation services and logistic solutions. The agreement aims to activate cooperation between the two entities to provide the necessary support to all MBRF initiatives and events all over the world, and to promote the sustainable development of societies.
Aramex will provide comprehensive transportation services and logistics solutions for all participants of all events and activities organized by MBRF around the world. The first step in the cooperation was the sponsorship by Aramex of the “Nobel Museum in 2015”, organized by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation in Dubai annually.

His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, Managing Director of MBRF, said that the participation of MBRF in GITEX Technology Week has been very rewarding. At the event, MBRF highlighted smart applications that contribute to a qualitative leap in enriching Arab e-content.
His Excellency expressed his happiness in signing the series of agreements and partnerships during the event, which will raise awareness of the effective social role played by private sector enterprises in driving sustainable development.
HE added: “AMIDEAST and Aramex have extensive experience in different fields that will contribute to the provision of logistical support for events organized by the Foundation around the world. They will also play an important role in the launch of several initiatives and in driving the quality of projects in the areas of knowledge and education in line with our efforts to establish Dubai and the UAE as a center of knowledge and research in the region.
