Image Nation Abu Dhabi and Futurism, a web science and technology publication, on Tuesday formed a wide-reaching content partnership.
Through the new partnership, Image Nation and Futurism will develop and produce feature films and documentaries, along with scripted and unscripted television series.
The companies will also collaborate across existing platforms to market and distribute content. This will include Quest Arabiya, Image Nation and Discovery Communication’s free-to-air factual entertainment television channel broadcasting across MENA and Mostaqbal, Futurism’s Arabic-language content portal.
“This deal brings two leading content creators together to tackle some of the biggest topics of our time, including technology, science and societal change. We look forward to working together to promote the media industry in Abu Dhabi and the UAE,” said Ben Ross, Head of Narrative Film and Television at Image Nation Abu Dhabi.
Futurism currently sees around 140 million hits a month on its website with its content based around science, technology and central narrative of tomorrow. In 2016, the company launched Arabic language website Mostaqbal, to cater for its growing Middle Eastern audience.
