A delegation from the International Charity Organisation (ICO) has visited Egypt to oversee the launch of 190 humanitarian and development projects.
The projects include building homes, Quran memorisation centres, agricultural wells, providing medical care, orphan sponsorship, and establishing healthcare centres.
Dr Khaled Abdulwahab Al Khaja, ICO Secretary-General, emphasised that being on the ground and directly managing these efforts has been key to earning the trust of thousands of donors and establishing the organisation as a leading force in philanthropy. He lauded the UAE’s leadership for inspiring their mission to make the country a beacon of generosity.
The delegation’s visit coincides with the organisation’s “Orphans and Healthcare” campaign, which provides critical support to vulnerable communities in the UAE and abroad.
