ICO, Globalpharma send AED7m worth of medicines to Africa

The International Charity Organisation (ICO) announced the delivery of a shipment of medicines valued at AED7 million to Niger and Senegal. This initiative was made possible with generous support from Globalpharma, a subsidiary of Dubai Investment Group.
The medicines will be distributed to hospitals and health centres in impoverished and remote regions, aligning with an agreement aimed at enhancing healthcare access in these areas.
This humanitarian initiative coincides with the orphans and healthcare campaign launched by the International Charity Organisation.
Dr Khaled Al Khaja, Executive Director of ICO, emphasised the organisation’s unwavering commitment to supporting countries facing healthcare challenges.
He highlighted the firsthand experience of visiting remote villages and witnessing the urgent need for medical supplies. Al Khaja extended sincere gratitude to Globalpharma for their substantial contribution, which underscores their dedication to social responsibility and their desire to make a positive impact.
Mohammed Saeed Al Raqbani, General Manager of Dubai Investments Industries & Masharie and Board Director of Globalpharma, expressed hope that the donated medicines would significantly improve healthcare conditions in remote areas and provide essential treatment to those in need.
