A group of medical professionals specialised in health care discussed health problems related to women’s health and presented the latest developments and medical progress in addressing issues related to them.
This came during the Women’s Health Empowerment Medical Conference, which concluded its activities at the Address Boulevard Dubai Hotel, organised by Medvarsity, one of the largest education technology companies in Asia for healthcare.
Doctors highlighted the most significant diseases and health problems facing women, such as polycystic ovary syndrome, its causes, symptoms, results, treatments, and the disease cholestasis inside the liver that affects pregnant women.
The health professionals participating in the conference touched on menopause and the resulting symptoms and complications, and how to deal with this stage, in addition to everything that includes fetal medicine.
Gerald Jaideeb, CEO of Medversity, stressed the importance of keeping up with everything related to women’s health by anticipating developments and medical progress in addressing all problems related to them, noting that the conference aims to achieve good results and important recommendations that benefit society and women’s health in particular.
Gerald also appreciated the importance of these conferences and their essential role in finding solutions to many health dilemmas that women suffer from by educating and training health personnel specialised in such problems and motivating them to exchange their acquired experiences and share them with their colleagues to raise the level of health service provided to patients.

In her turn, Reham Abu Rayh, General Manager for the Medvarsity – Middle East, considered that the GCC region is an important market for the establishment and organisation of medical conferences, which play an essential role in linking the expertise of the West and the experiences of the East in all medical and health care fields, noting that the United Arab Emirates has become a soft force in the field of health care, as it has a health infrastructure with international standards and is visited by the best doctors and nurses with experience and competence, in addition to its distinction in the presence of a prestigious medical system.

The conference, which concluded its activities on Friday evening, witnessed the participation of a group of medical professionals specialised in health care to present and discuss a group of health problems related to women’s health. Dr Bahaira El Geyoushi, the conference chairperson, provides an overview of Polycystic ovary syndrome and the latest development and treatment solutions; Dr Rola Nakhal focused on the problems of menopause and the resulting symptoms and complications and provided treatment solutions for women to help them deal with these problems. During the conference, Dr Samina Dornan addressed from the point of view of her specialisation in medicine: embryos and their importance in following up on the state of proper fetal development.
While Dr Krishi Gowdra provides an overview of cholestasis within the liver that affects pregnant women and its latest developments.
In her turn, Dr Maria Karakoulaki talked about some of the non-surgical treatments modern medicine has reached in gynaecology as a safe, fast and aesthetic alternative and provided essential details about its effectiveness and approval by women. At the same time, Dr Zuhdi Khaled concluded his studies on the detection of cancer of the reproductive system through the state of the lymph nodes of the pelvis and gave an image of some of the variables that occur in the cervix and the reproductive system in general.
