Hazza bin Zayed praises ADNOC’s commitment to a resilient oil, gas sector

HH Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, on Thursday praised the strategic direction of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company’s (ADNOC) that will ensure a resilient oil and gas sector, for decades to come, as part of a diversified energy mix, thanks to the support of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
Speaking during a visit to the nineth Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC), H.H. Sheikh Hazza stressed the UAE, in line with the leadership’s directives, is consolidating its position in the energy sector, by developing a diverse energy mix based on oil and gas reserves, nuclear energy and clean energy.
Sheikh Hazza stressed that energy is a fundamental building block in the development of the UAE, and highlighted the country’s willingness to work with partners to develop the nation’s hydrocarbons industry, to ensure it continues to drive economic development and delivers future prosperity.
Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State and CEO of the ADNOC Group, extended his gratitude and appreciation to H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan for visiting ADNOC’s stand. He also thanked His Highness for his continued support, which has played an instrumental role in ADNOC’s growth and success.
He reaffirmed ADNOC’s commitment to adding value throughout all operations across the value chain. ADNOC is continuing its focus on exploration, development, and production, securing economic and sustainable supplies of gas, as well as maximising the value of the company’s refining and petrochemical operations.
Dr. Al Jaber also highlighted the importance of empowering human capital and underlined ADNOC’s uncompromising commitment to the highest standards in health, safety and security, while ensuring the integrity of all assets.
During his tour of ADIPEC, Sheikh Hazza was welcomed to the ADNOC stand by Dr. Al Jaber and the ADNOC executive leadership team.
ADNOC is a major diversified group of energy and petrochemical companies that produces 3.1 million barrels of oil and 9.8 billion cubic feet of raw gas a day. Its integrated upstream, midstream and downstream activities are carried out by 18 specialist subsidiary and joint venture companies.
