The General Pension and Social Security Authority (GPSSA) is hosting a four-day training course titled Insurance Kit – Customer Happiness from April 21 to 24 at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi, aimed at enhancing knowledge, experience and collaboration among pension authorities across the GCC region.
The training is part of an initiative proposed by the GCC’s Permanent Technical Committee for Civil Retirement and Social Security Authorities and approved during the 21st meeting of the heads of civil retirement and social insurance agencies in the GCC.
Organised for members of civil retirement and social insurance bodies, the course serves as a platform to exchange expertise, share knowledge and explore best practices in insurance and social security.
More than 30 delegates from pension and social security authorities in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar and the UAE are participating in the four-day training.
The sessions focus on enhancing both technical and administrative skills, while offering opportunities to discuss future challenges and foster professional relationships that strengthen collaboration among GCC pension institutions.
Hind Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Pensions Sector at the GPSSA, said, “This training course has been organised as part of the GCC’s broader commitment to developing the skills of employees in the pension and social security sector, empowering them with tools and expertise to improve their work environments and deliver high-quality services to stakeholders.”
She added that citizens and customers benefit from such initiatives, which reflect the ongoing commitment of regional officials to enhancing and evolving services in the pension and social security sector.
During the first two days, a course entitled “Future Skills and Professional Talent” will be delivered by an Emirati expert, Dr Salem Al Salem, who specialises in HR development, government performance and policy design.
Over the following two days, the third session, “Basics and Introduction to Social Insurance,” and the fourth session, “Practical Application and Initiative Building – Developing Innovative Methods,” will be delivered by Mohamed Saqer Al Hammadi, Head of the Pension Operations Department at GPSSA. He will address the customer journey in social security and ways to build insurance systems tailored to their needs.
