Experts to discuss integrated media measurement

There is an urgent need of accessing the best practices and challenges faced by Public Relations industry in the UAE, which according to experts is one of the most important arms of the overall media industry. In order to create the much needed platform, UAE’s prominent PR practitioners plan to come together to discuss various aspects of integrated media measurement in the PR Measurement Summit to be held in Dubai later this year.
The summit will host a series of workshops, panel discussions and case study presentations. A special event themed “Measurement in an Age of Integrated Communications” will investigate the value of effective measurement for PR and communications professionals across all industries, within the private sector, government and NGOs.
Mazen Nahawi, CEO of CARMA, the host of the summit said in an official statement, “The PR Measurement Summit is a valuable event for communications professionals and senior executives to enhance their understanding and knowledge of PR measurement and recognise the impact it can have on driving business objectives, from building and enhancing brands right through to crisis management.”
“We have an experienced and diverse panel of speakers representing various industries in order to foster interesting dialogue and insights for our attendees,” Nahawi added.
During the summit, the delegates will hear from leading academics, agencies and clients from all over the world, on how they use valuable insights to manage reputation, track complex issues across multiple media and determine return on investment (ROI).
“This is something that is much needed at the time of fast changing technology in the media industry. More such event should be organised especially because PR is a huge industry in this part of the world,” said Gizell Huston, a research analyst who is studying media marketing industry in UAE.
“We already have very high standards of PR in UAE but media measurement is a burning issue that needs to be addressed,” she told Emirates Business.
