Integrated solar power energy systems have been installed in the villages of Ghalifqa and Taif in Hodeidah, Yemen.
The systems, installed by the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), will provide electricity to 230 homes within the Yemeni villages.
According Mohammed Al Junaibi, ERC Director of Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen, the solar power energy systems contain two panels and a battery, as well as an electric inverter, which together will provide electricity supplies to the home, alleviating some of the hardships experienced by Yemeni citizens.
