ERC distributes relief in Yemen

The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), distributed urgent humanitarian aid, including basic food supplies, to the people of Shabwa Governorate suffering from difficult economic and humanitarian conditions, due to the events witnessed by the country.
An ERC convoy travelled to the districts of Rodoum and Mayfa’a in Shabwa Governorate, where residents were in need of humanitarian aid. An ERC field team was keen to learn about the needs of the inhabitants, under the framework of the UAE’s efforts and its humanitarian role in helping the Yemeni people.
Abdullah Al Musaferi, Head of the ERC Team, said the distribution of food parcels is part of the humanitarian aid programme implemented by the ERC during the Holy Month of Ramadan, as well as in a series of
campaigns that it launched in various parts of Shabwa
Governorate.
He added that the ERC is continuing to enhance the lives of people and provide them with vital projects and services, while stressing the desire of the ERC to cover the requirements for aid in different regions.
Hadi Saeed Al Kharma, Secretary-General of Rodoum Area, praised the efforts of the ERC and its working team in Yemen.
, which exerted considerable efforts to deliver aid to vulnerable people in regions throughout the country.
The beneficiaries of the ERC’s aid expressed their appreciation on receiving the UAE’s assistance.
