The one-year contract, with the option to extend by another two years, will see Imdaad deliver specialized integrated FM services in EPG’s branches throughout the UAE. This includes: maintenance of buildings and facilities, encompassing civil works, electrical and HVAC and mechanical operations.
Jamal Abdulla Lootah, Group CEO of Imdaad, said: “This partnership illustrates our proven capabilities to roll out quality-driven integrated FM solutions, designed to optimize the reliability of all building services, across EPG’s branches throughout the UAE.
“Preventative, including regular maintenance improves the reliability, efficiency, lifespan and operating costs of HVAC and MEP, saving companies considerable amounts of money. It also encourages a more responsible attitude towards energy management, reducing carbon emissions as well as potential water leaks, which ultimately lower utility bills.”
Imdaad has a strategic approach to sustainability and the work undertaken will go a long way to helping EPG comply with the Dubai Plan 2021, to ensure Dubai is a smart and sustainable city.
Lootah added: “We pride ourselves on our continuous innovation and energy management solutions. With this in mind, we intend to connect our Network Operations Centre (imtedaad) in Jebel Ali to implement energy conservation measures in EPG’s Um Ramool building.”
The contract which will start on June 15, will involve the mobilization of more than 70 staff from Imdaad.
EPG manages its postal operational division and subsidiaries, which consist of Wall Street Exchange Centre and Electronic Documents Centre, offering a vast range of postal, logistic and specialized financial services.
The company has a strong emphasis on quality, excellence, creativity and innovation, with the prime focus always on raising customer satisfaction levels.
As such, EPG places huge value in preventative and regular maintenance of its facilities.
Sami Mohammed Alkhaja Chief Support Services Officer, said: “It was vital for us to partner with a trusted FM company with a proven track record, not only in integrated facilities management, but also in energy management. We selected Imdaad because we want our customers to be happy when they see our facilities at EPG, where our services are enhanced and the very latest technical solutions are implemented to ensure our properties are always kept to the very highest of standards.
“We also want to ensure that our branches operate as energy efficiently as possible and we feel confident that Imdaad has the proficiency to manage this process.”
Imdaad has enjoyed considerable success of late. After announcing a AED60 million investment programme at the start of this year to achieve growth, the company has since entered into a three-year agreement with Emarat, a supplier of petroleum products in the UAE, to deliver sustainable and integrated waste collection services; and in April, the company signed a AED4 million deal to deliver integrated FM services for Dubai Maritime City MBC Building.
