The Enoc Group hosted the first Retail Fuel Industry Safety Conference in Dubai, to discuss the best industry safety practices and potential challenges within fuel retail operations.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Matar Al Neyadi, Under-Secretary of the UAE Ministry of Energy. The conference was attended by key strategic partners and federal authorities including representatives from the Ministry of Energy, Dubai Civil Defence, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, ASEG Co., Emarat, ADNOC as well as officials from the ENOC Group.
The conference addressed key environmental, health and safety issues facing service stations, including incidents such as vehicle fires and nozzle detachment incidents. Industry experts also shed light on the importance of enforcing no-smoking policies, the rise of retail automation, disruptive technologies such as RFID payment systems and digitisation and their impact on safety.
