Emirati entrepreneurs to visit US

A delegation of Emirati entrepreneurs are to begin a visit to the US on Monday to learn about American business practices.
The visit is being conducted as part of the International Visitor Leadership Programme, IVLP, supervised by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the US Department of State, and has been organised by the UAE Ministry of Economy, in collaboration with the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
Under the banner, ‘Innovation and Entrepreneurship,’ the visit aims to introduce Emirati entrepreneurs to American society and provide them with an opportunity to learn about the latest policies and approaches in the economic and social fields related to entrepreneurship in the US. They will also learn about the contributions of innovation, and witness solutions and practices for supporting and developing the business environment.
The delegates will tour the US cities of New York, Detroit, and San Diego, and meet elite American entrepreneurs, businessmen and experts. They will also visit several organisations, companies and think tanks in order to acquire and share knowledge and expertise, and learn about new skills and techniques.
Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Saleh, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Economy for Foreign Trade and Industry, said that the visit is of great importance to expand cultural and educational exchanges between the UAE and US communities.
