The Emirates Securities Market Index has increased by 2.64% to close at 4535.32 points. Accordingly the Market Capitalization has gained AED 18.9 billion attaining AED 735.69 bIllion. A total of 1.52 billion shares were traded with a total value of AED 1.95 billion during the trading session of 2016-03-06 through 16054 transactions.
The number of companies which has been traded is 66 out of 128 companies listed in the market. Shares for 50 companies were advanced, whereas shares for 9 companies were declined and the rest remained unchanged.
Arabtec Holding Company came at the top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 0.54 billion distributed over 304.37 million shares through 3619 transactions. Gulf Finance House came at the second top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 283.56 million distributed over 362.81 million shares through 2131 transactions.
Union Insurance Company shares has achieved the highest increase in the price which closed at AED 1.39 with 14.88% increase during the trading of 95.78 thousand shares with a trade value of AED 133.14 Thousand. Whereas Al Salam Group Holding shares Increased by 13.87% to close at AED 0.43 during the trading of 0.98 million shares with a trade value of AED 0.41 million. Dubai National Insurance has achieved the lowest decline by -5.77% to close at AED 2.45 during the trading of 36.59 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 89.65 Thousand. Followed by Al Khazna Insurance Co which dropped by -3.33% to close at AED 0.29 during the trading of 19.73 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 5721.41. Since the beginning of the year, the percentage change in the Emirates Securities Market index has an increase by 5.970%, with a total accumulated trade value of AED 38.48 Billion. The number of companies which has achieved a rise in its market price reached 57 out of the 128 listed companies whereas the declined ones are 40 companies.
As of 06-03-2016 the Telecommunication sector index has the lead over the other indices, with highest increase of 16.8530% to settle at 3744.34compared to 3204.32 points by the end of last year. Followed by the Real estate sector index with an increase of 9.16% to settle at 5284.51 points. Followed by the Fin/Investment sector index with an increase of 7.44% to settle at 3833.45 points. Followed by the Energy sector index with an increase of 3.11% to settle at 73.4375 points. Followed by the Consumer Staples sector index with an increase of 2.18% to settle at 1960.62 points. Followed by the Transportation sector index with an increase of 1.56% to settle at 3384.84 points. Followed by the Services sector index with an increase of 0.90% to settle at 1401.74 points. Followed by the Banks sector index with an increase of 0.37% to settle at 2891.40 points. Followed by the Industrials sector index with a decrease of -2.7% to settle at 945.217 points. Followed by the Insurance sector index with a decrease of -4.8% to settle at 1211.54 points.
