The Emirates Securities Market Index has increased by 0.32% to close at 4497.71 points. Accordingly the Market Capitalization has gained AED 4.58 billion attaining AED 731.81 billion. A total of 442.19 Million Shares were traded with a total value of AED 0.52 billion during the trading session of 09-05-2016 through 5948 transactions.
The number of companies which has been traded is 61 out of 128 companies listed in the market. Shares for 28 companies were advanced, whereas shares for 24 companies were declined and the rest remained unchanged.
Eshraq Properties came at the top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 73.92 million distributed over 92.32 Million Shares through 543 transactions. Emaar Properties came at the second top of the most active companies with a trade value of AED 56.24 million distributed over 9.07 Million Shares through 385 transactions.
International Fish Farming Company shares has achieved the highest increase in the price which closed at AED 1.33 with 14.66% increase during the trading of 390.42 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 0.52 million. Whereas Abu Dhabi Ships Building shares Increased by 11.11% to close at AED 2.90 during the trading of 34.39 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 99.72 thousand.
Al Khazna Insurance Co has achieved the lowest decline by -6.82% to close at AED 0.41 during the trading of 2099 Shares with a trade value of AED 860.59. Followed by Bank of Sharjah which dropped by -4.44% to close at AED 1.29 during the trading of 43 Thousand Shares with a trade value of AED 55.03 thousand. Since the beginning of the year, the percentage change in the Emirates Securities Market index has an increase by 5.091%, with a total accumulated trade value of AED 78.3 billion. The number of companies which has achieved a rise in its market price reached 56 out of the 128 listed companies whereas the declined ones are 49 companies. As of 09-05-2016, the Telecommunication sector index has the lead over the other indices, with highest increase of 19.0798% to settle at 3815.69compared to 3204.32 points by the end of last year. Followed by the Energy sector index with an increase of 10.7% to settle at 78.9113 points. Followed by the Services sector index with an increase of 8.83% to settle at 1511.90 points. Followed by the Real estate sector index with an increase of 8.04% to settle at 5230.45 points. Followed by the Consumer Staples sector index with an increase of 3.02% to settle at 1976.72 points. Followed by the Fin/Investment sector index with an increase of 1.26% to settle at 3613.00 points. Followed by the Transportation sector index with an increase of 0.70% to settle at 3356.20 points. Followed by the Banks sector index with a decrease of -2.2% to settle at 2815.71 points. Followed by the Insurance sector index with a decrease of -4.4% to settle at 1215.76 points. Followed by the Industrials sector index with a decrease of -4.6% to settle at 927.228 points.
