After the desert safaris and picturesque road trips, increasing number of tourists are exploring the UAE waters to know the Emirates from a different angle. In recent years, there has been a rise in the number of ferry or jetty services as tourists demand more options to explore UAE. Offering a stimulating alternative to explore the striking skyline and coastline of the UAE, various companies are offering a unique mode of transport in form of ferries or jetties, with strategically-planned stoppages, to strengthen the already booming tourism industry of UAE.
One such company, Jalboot is offering leisure yachts to provide a unique perspective to the tourists who can look at Abu Dhabi’s iconic structures and buildings while sailing through ocean waves in Arabian sea. Talking to Emirates Business, Thomas Rebollini, the Head of Finance, Sales and Marketing — Jalboot Marine Network LLC, said that it is an effort to make sea tourism popular in Emirates and to attract customers towards this matchless mode of transportation.
“The coastal area of UAE, especially Abu Dhabi is an archipelago of islands. While some of islands are connected by bridges and are accessible by road, or by car, this alternative to peak hour traffic is certainly refreshing. It also offers an opportunity to experience the UAE from the sea and gives residents as well as tourists alike an affordable, safe, comfortable, reliable and memorable travel and sightseeing option,” Rebollini told Emirates Business.
“Passengers will be able to view the city and its skyline from the comfort of Jalboot ferries, which link all the major tourist attractions and landmarks the capital and nearby mainland and islands have to offer,” he added.
Another option for those who want to challenge their comfort zones and get some adrenaline rushing while getting to know UAE better is the Yellow Boats Dubai and The Yellow Boats Abu Dhabi.
Setting off from Dubai Marina Walk in Dubai and Emirates Palace Marina in Abu Dhabi from morning to night, The Yellow Boats operates more than 20 scheduled sightseeing tours per day throughout
the year.
“Recently I have been on the Yellow Boat during a group trip. I visit UAE quite often and I believe this is a great idea to attract more tourists. There are a number of people who want a different experience than the regular ones. There still is a huge scope in this area and UAE can bank upon seas tourism for a growth in overall tourism sector,” said Nanak Sethi, who often travels to UAE for his business.
