Known as one of the strongest countries in bespoke car sales, UAE with its wealthy population is driving the growth of the global ‘customised cars’ industry. The recent win of Abu Dhabi Motors that made it top Rolls-Royce Bespoke Dealer in the world for 7th year in a row, is testimony to the fact that UAE remains one of the most important countries for international bespoke car manufacturers.
The demand for more and more bespoke cars is also making UAE home to some of the masterpieces. This has helped boost revenue for the overall auto industry thereby making it a strong contributor in the national economy.
In an exclusive interview with Emirates Business, Arno Husselmann, General Manager of Abu Dhabi Motors said, “Individual and Bespoke cars are very popular in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. It is part of our responsibility to show our customers the best we can offer. We have led this segment globally and are the top Rolls-Royce Bespoke Dealer in the World for the past 7 years.”
It is notable that UAE is gulf’s largest market for individualised cars. From colour-based interiors to personality reflecting designs, UAE has given the auto industry some of the most innovative cars in this segment.
Interestingly, Abu Dhabi Motors is working on a Rolls Royce that will be created on the theme of ‘music’ as ordered by one of the UAE residents.
“We have to plan these special cars well in advance, at least 5 months for BMW and some heavily Bespoke Rolls-Royce’s up to 1 year in advance,” added Husselmann.
“It is enormously satisfying to see a customer take ownership of a car he or she really likes and is exclusive and often one of one in the world. We have a number of cars on our showrooms now and have special cars in process with Rolls-Royce, BMW and the i-8,” he said.
