Emirates Islamic, one of the leading Islamic financial institutions in the UAE, has launched the ‘Bring Happiness’ initiative, a social media campaign that will connect members of the community in need with those who can offer their support. The initiative has been launched to coincide with Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, and honour the memory of the late His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the United Arab Emirates. The late HH Sheikh Zayed passed away on the 19th of Ramadan and every year, this day is observed as Zayed Humanitarian Work Day in the UAE, in honour of the great work done by him, not only in the UAE, but for the global community.
Users who register on the Bring Happiness web app via Emirates Islamic’s Facebook, Instagram
and Twitter platforms are granted the opportunity to submit their wishes. Members of the community in the UAE can offer to provide support to fulfill these wishes, with the bank connecting the wish maker with the fulfiller. All submitted wishes will be reviewed by the bank and only appropriate wishes will be available for support.
Commenting on the Bring happiness initiative, Jamal Bin Ghalaita, Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Islamic, said: “Every year, on the nineteenth day of Ramadan, we remember the immeasurable humanitarian contributions of the late His Highness Sheikh Zayed (may Allah have mercy upon him). In his honor, we proudly launch the Bring Happiness campaign and establish a solid network of support that brings together the combined resources of those who can help and providing it to those who need it the most. At Emirates Islamic, we consider it our responsibility to give back to the community and hence the bank, through its charity fund, will also select several cases to assist. We hope to inspire and work with the community to come together and bring true happiness into people’s lives.”
Since its launch in 2004, the bank has played an active role in supporting the community.
