The 5th edition of Schneider Electric Innovation Summit was opened on Tuesday to discuss the latest technologies, trends and innovations, transforming the world of energy
Opened by Managing Director & CEO, Dubai Electricity & Water Authority, DEWA, Saeed Mohamed Al Tayer, the event brings together top industry leaders from across the region at Atlantis the Palm Hotel for two days, with the turnout expected to be more than 2,500 visitors.
In his inaugural word, Al Tayer said the summit has become a significant platform for the exchange of expertise and knowledge in area of innovation.
“The event ideally fits within the UAE’s National Innovation Strategy, launched by Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum that is premised to turn the UAE to one of the world’s most innovative countries,” Al Tayer added.
In line with the Smart Dubai Initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid to render Dubai the world’s happiest and smartest city, DEWA has launched many initiatives, programmes and promising projects towards this end, he added.
