Dubai Ports named strategic partner for UN data forum

The Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority (FCSA) signed an agreement with DP World in Dubai to build a strategic relationship and support the UN World Data Forum 2018.
Hosted by the UAE in October 2018, the second edition of the forum will see the participation of more than 1,500 leaders, decision-makers, experts and specialists in the field of data and statistics from around the world.
An MoU was signed by Abdullah Nasser Lootah, FCSA Director-General, Chairman of the Organising Committee of UN World Data Forum 2018, and Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Group Chairman and CEO of DP World. A group of senior officials from both organisations were present.
“As part of its efforts to build the future, the UAE looks forward to establishing itself as a leading country in the fields of data science and information and communication technology (ICT),” said Lootah.
