Dubai Chamber showcases biz competitiveness in Russia

Promoting Dubai’s competitive business environment in the Russian market, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s international office in Azerbaijan recently participated in Innoprom 2016, which is the main International Industrial trade fair held in Ekaterinburg and is attended by over 48,000 visitors and 600 participating companies from more than 95 countries of the world.
Representatives of Dubai Chamber’s Azerbaijan international office held 30 meetings with delegates of international companies, decision-makers and government and chamber officials as well as participants of the fair whose theme focused on Industrial automation, Technologies for the energy sector, Industrial internet, Logistics,
Financing manufacturing and Machine building.
The Chamber stand which was visited by hundreds of delegates received enquiries about how to set up in Dubai, how to export through Dubai, Dubai Chamber services, investments from Dubai and bilateral business opportunities as well as the means of meeting trade partners and investors from different economic sectors in the emirate.
Omar Khan, Director, International Offices, Dubai Chamber, stated that the Chamber’s participation in the exhibition provided an ideal platform to attract overseas investors and entrepreneurs to the prevailing lucrative business environment of the emirate as well as the opportunity to showcase the competitiveness of Dubai businesses while opening up doors for new business partnerships with the global businesses participating in the exhibition.
He further stated that the Dubai Chamber international office’s meetings held on the side-lines of this industrial trade fair with representatives of international companies supported the Chamber’s objective of exploring new investment opportunities for Dubai companies wanting to expand in emerging markets of the world.
Khan also said that the Chamber’s participation in the expo allowed it to reinforce its presence in the CIS market while enabling regional businesses to check out the benefits of setting up businesses in Dubai and to explore joint investment ventures with the emirate’s business community.
The Director of Dubai Chamber International Offices added that Dubai Chamber’s international office, since its opening in November 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan, has been regularly participating in regional economic forums and exhibitions besides organising roundtable discussions and seminars focused on establishing new contacts and exploring areas of synergy between Dubai businesses and their CIS counterparts.
