Dubai Real Estate Institute (DREI), the educational arm of Dubai Land Department (DLD), is partnering with Impact Hub Dubai (IHD) to launch the new Emirati Launchpad. This programme starts on November 2 will provide a number of specialised training courses for nationals, aimed towards assisting them in joining the Dubai real estate market, in engaging in various related activities, as well as how to maintain their own projects that they will manage and supervise.
The Emirati Launchpad aims to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship amongst Emirati youth who seek to start or develop business ideas. It achieves this through a number of key objectives, including empowering budding Emirati entrepreneurs to develop enterprises which sustain their culture and values, promoting social and environmental awareness by inspiring businesspeople to create a positive impact on people and the environment, and building a culture of happiness and tolerance. Furthermore, it increases exposure and visibility of Emirati entrepreneurs, mobilises a locally rooted corporate eco-system and connects native businessmen with global Impact Hub Dubai resources to scale their business opportunities.
Mahmoud El-Burai, Executive Director of DREI said: “Through this programme we look forward to mobilising and releasing national talent that works within this field, to support the property companies operating in the market, and to motivate participants to establish their own range of activities that will contribute to the sector. We also seek to raise awareness amongst all who take part, to educate and motivate them to engage in real estate and business activities, all delivered by a group of specialist lecturers using the best curricula, training materials and tools.”
He added: “This initiative will greatly contribute towards achieving our institutional mission. It also reflects DREI’s focus upon the deployment of real estate knowledge and sustainability of the Dubai property market, and will encourage UAE nationals to participate in this sector. This programme will contribute towards the strengthening of trust by potential investors by increasing confidence in the Emirati property market through a percentage increase of nationals in various fields.”

We are providing a real platform to be relied upon to enhance participants’ skills and to enhance the capabilities of nationals working in real estate.”
Emirati Launchpad sees DREI working in collaboration with Impact Hub Dubai, one of Dubai’s largest communities of entrepreneurs, creative people and technological experts. It offers a vibrant co-working space, workshops, events, networking and innovation labs.
It is worth mentioning that Dubai Real Estate Institute offers courses in partnership with internationally recognized universities and institutes within the Emirate of Dubai and outside the United Arab Emirates. DREI offers UAE nationals’ real estate scholarships including accredited real estate diploma qualification and the certified real estate expert course, in addition to real estate master and new real estate and training courses to serve the real estate market in Dubai.
