DREI presents MSc in real estate and property mgmt

Dubai Real Estate Institute (DREI), the educational arm of Dubai Land Department (DLD), presented its first ‘MSc in Real Estate and Property Management‘ in collaboration with the University of Salford, UK. The university has opened applications from students to register and join the programme, which runs for three semesters and qualifies graduates with a prestigious Real Estate Management Degree.
Through this programme, DREI provides the opportunity for all personnel in the real estate sector to achieve their dreams, through furthering their higher education, with a globally recognised Degree which supports their career aspirations and provides the real estate sector with top property specialists, and allows graduates to gain elite real estate sector positions.
Executive Director of Dubai Real Estate Institute, Mahmoud Al Burai said “This comprehensive programme is internationally renowned, accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and recognised in the UAE by the Ministry of Higher Education. This affordable degree provides all of the essential learning mechanisms to ensure students build an in-depth understanding of the complex dynamics and influences of the property market, property management, real estate laws, planning, development, valuation and appraisal techniques.”
Applicants to this course must have either a minimum of a second class undergraduate honours degree, or an appropriate and recognised professional qualification such as MRICS, MRTPI or MCIOB.
The university will open the door to graduates and specialists who have shown a high degree of excellence within education, and who demonstrate a high degree of interest in the real estate market such as previous employment within the industry. The curriculum focuses on the mechanisms of the commercial property market and its relationship to both local and global financial and investment markets.
Students will study modules over three semesters across legal, economic and technical areas, which have been developed to ensure graduates have developed the necessary investment and evaluation plans, to provide advanced technology courses required for the industry information, and to identify environmental considerations in respect of the development and management of real estate.
The Real Estate and Property Management MSc programme helps DLD to achieve one of its key objectives – the deployment and sustainability of real estate knowledge – achieved through the provision of sophisticated, high-quality programs with internationally recognised universities, and also to provide a world-class real estate environment within Dubai that ensures the rights of all parties, and contributes towards the development of society.
