RAS AL KHAIMAH/ GULF TIME
The ultimate family-friendly escape awaits at DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island, which boasts mesmerising views of the glistening Arabian Gulf beautifully framed by tropical palm trees. Having recently completed a full makeover, the property has elevated its status as the premier family destination in Ras Al Khaimah, making it the ideal place to enjoy a break from the ordinary.
Featuring extensive renovations to the lobby, kids’ park, paddle court, and water park, the resort offers an enhanced experience for guests seeking the perfect getaway for the young and young at heart.
The transformation begins at the lobby, where the new design reflects the resort’s sleek and modern aesthetic. Upon entering, guests are greeted by a spacious and inviting atmosphere, with contemporary furniture, ambient lighting, and stylish décor.
DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island continues to be a top choice for families, blending elegance, comfort, and family-friendly amenities. Whether it’s relaxing in the chic new lobby or allowing your little ones to play to their hearts’ content in the revamped parks, the resort promises an unforgettable experience for guests of all ages. The property also offers airport shuttle services for guests staying more than 5 nights from Dubai/Ras Al Khaimah/Sharjah. After renovations, Pieter Van Beugen, General Manager, DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island, affirmed that the property is seeing an increase in footfall. “There is an increase in footfall after the renovations. The renovated lobby, kids park, and water park have elevated the guest experiences,” he added.
“The goal of the renovation was to elevate the overall experience for our guests, creating a more aesthetically pleasing and functional environment,” said Pieter Van Beugen.
“We wanted to blend modern design elements with comfort and convenience, ensuring every guest feels at home from the moment they step through our doors.”
There’s something quite interesting about the names of the restaurants at the property, and Pieter Van Beugen, the property’s General Manager, shared the idea behind it, adding SANCHAYA (Asian), in Sanskrit, means ‘collection’ or ‘gathering’, which beautifully aligns with the concept of bringing together diverse Asian flavours, culinary techniques, and regional dishes in one place.
“VESPA is our Italian restaurant. The name Vespa — we have a Vespa (scooter) in Vespa — is to add a quirky, fun name with the restaurant’s highlight. While MEZE (Turkish) means selection of hot and cold dishes in Turkish cooking, BRASSERIE (French) means a restaurant in French style,” said Van Beugen.
In line with the resort’s dedication to providing the best family experiences, the high-adrenaline kids’ park and water park have also been revitalised.
The flooring in these areas has been upgraded to feature a more gripped surface and the vibrant new designs in the kids’ park bring a refreshed, colourful atmosphere that children are sure to love. The upgraded water park enhances both safety and enjoyment, allowing families to make lasting memories in a secure and exciting environment.
These thoughtful enhancements aim to improve the guest experience across all touchpoints. The modernised lobby sets the tone for the resort’s contemporary identity, while the upgraded kids’ facilities ensure that every family member can enjoy their stay to the fullest.
