The Dolphin Energy Limited, Dolphin, and Qatar Petroleum, on Wednesday signed a long-term liquefied natural gas (LNG) sale and purchase agreement in Doha, Qatar.
As per the agreement, Qatar Petroleum will supply additional quantities of LNG to Dolphin for exporting them to the UAE through the offshore pipeline extending between the two countries. Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, and CEO of the ADNOC Group, and Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Qatar, witnessed the signing of the agreement.
The LNG will be supplied to Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority and Ras al-Khaimah Gas Commission, RAK Gas, via the eastern gas distribution network in the UAE. Dolphin has started to supply LNG to the UAE in July 2007.
