Dubai Land Department (DLD) will highlight several of its pioneering initiatives during the first day of the Dubai Property Show in Shanghai as the strategic partner of the event, which will be inaugurated on Friday and will run for three days until March 26.
DLD’s participation is taking place at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center under the theme ‘Dubai, your ideal investment destination’. The department’s delegation will be working to translate this theme into reality over the course of the event, by presenting a range of services and initiatives that support Dubai’s real estate sector. Visitors to DLD’s platform will be able to discover the department’s most innovative achievements in the sector, particularly the ‘Investment Map’.
The ‘Investment Map’ provides investors with a comprehensive set of investment opportunities on the department’s website. The three-dimensional interactive map is an important step forward, as it allows investors to pursue real estate opportunities available in the local market and gain an overview of the projects on offer.
Majida Ali Rashid, Assistant Director-General and Head of Real Estate Investment Management and Promotion Center, the investment arm of Dubai Land Department, commented: “We are pleased to enter into a strategic partnership with Sumansa to organise the Dubai Property Show in Shanghai, which is one of the largest cities on the Chinese mainland. The choice of this event destination is vital as we have witnessed an increase in demand from Chinese investors, who have pumped over AED 10 billion into the Dubai real estate market over the past four years.”
Majida Ali Rashid added: “We have decided to launch the show in China following the success of its previous session in Mumbai, India which took place last December, and other shows hosted in major global destinations including London and Hong Kong.”
According to reports issued from the Dubai Land Department, Chinese investments in the Dubai real estate market amounted to AED1.74 billion in 2016, ranking the country among the top 10 nationalities making the highest
investments in this sector.
Chinese investors are attracted to choosing Dubai to take advantage of its superb infrastructure, which ensures a world-class business environment, as well as
affordable international prices, guaranteed revenue and security.
