Dubai’s health regulator is seeking to strengthen strategic partnerships with the emirate’s private healthcare sector to assist in assuring continuing progress in the emirates’ healthcare industry, including increasing investments and promoting medical tourism, Humaid Mohammed Al Qattami, Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority, (DHA) said on
Sunday.
In a statement made during a tour of the Health Regulation Department, he said, “Dubai is a favourite destination for multi-national companies and investments. The need for high-quality health services is increasing, and the Dubai Health Authority is working with the private healthcare sector.”
Also, Dubai’s health regulator is developing legislation and regulations based upon sound and realistic rules in order to keep pace with the rapid growth of the private healthcare sector and simplify procedures, follow-ups and inspections, Al Qattami added.
The department is responsible for setting medical regulations for the health sector in Dubai except for Dubai Healthcare City.
The Dubai Health Authority is keen to continue to provide ease of business, develop and update existing facility and healthcare regulations to ensure provision of high quality health services in the emirate, the
official said.
