Dubai Gynaecology and Fertility Centre (DGFC), one of the leading medical centres in the treatment of infertility worldwide, has achieved unprecedented success in microscopic insemination and in vitro fertilisation (IVF) procedures.
The DGFC has acquired the latest technology and adopted those modern techniques that enhanced its capabilities in preserving embryos and avoiding cases of recurrent miscarriages. These developments brought the centre to the global competitive edge in the treatment of infertility.
Humaid Mohammed Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board of the Dubai Health Authority, said the DGFC has become an international reference for the endorsement and licensing of the fertility centres. He added that DGFC has been endorsed by Accreditation Canada International to become the first of its kind in the Middle East.
For her part, Dr Hana Tahwara, Assistant Director of DGFC, said the centre achieved a remarkable progress last year by succeeding in raising its rates of fertilisation procedures to 57 percent, which is higher than global percentages that range from 40 to 50%. She added that the success of fertilisation procedures for women under the age of 40, using microscopic insemination, rose to 51%, and 63% in IVF procedures.
