Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) staff are distributing Iftar meals to drivers on the roads and at traffic intersections before Maghrib prayers during the holy month of Ramadan.
The gesture is in implementation to the directives of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to mark June 19 as Zayed Humanitarian Work Day in memory of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
DEWA is working in cooperation with the Al Ihsan Charity Association for the 5th Ramadan Aman safety campaign, with the theme ‘Together during Ramadan without accidents.’ The initiative is held in collaboration with police from different Emirates and Al Ihsan. The campaign promotes the safety of people who are fasting during Ramadan, especially when they drive their cars before Iftar.
