The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), discussed ways to strengthen ties with the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Al Qassim Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
This came during a meeting of representatives of the two chambers with Dubai Chamber officials.
The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation and knowledge sharing among three organisations.
During the meeting, the
delegations were briefed on Dubai Chamber’s best
practices in the areas of
membership services, issuing of certificates of origin, customer service systems and management.
Atiq Juma Nasib, Senior Vice President of Commercial Services at Dubai Chamber, revealed that the chamber issued 923,000 certificates of origin in 2016, and said that its procedures fall in line with international standards.
He pointed out that the number of ATA Carnets (ATA Carnet is an international Customs document) reached 5,500 during the same year, accounting for AED3.1 billion. He highlighted the importance of such services in facilitating global trade and supporting the development of business in Dubai.
