DCA to build charity complex in Tajikistan

The Dubai Charity Association (DCA), announced a project to build a charity complex costing AED1 million, which will carry the name of the late founding father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, in the Jayhoun area of Tajikistan, on the occasion of Zayed Humanitarian Work Day.
The project will include the construction and launch of a mosque, a water well, a clinic and a school, in co-operation with Government of Tajikistan and international charity association, ‘Ihyaa’ Saminan’, which will manage the project. The project is expected to be completed within a year, after the start of its operations.
The announcement to launch the project, located in an area with a population of 85,000, will commemorate the memory of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and highlight his charity, aid and humanitarian role, to strengthen social security, achieve solidarity between members of the community and spread the culture of humanitarian initiatives.
Ahmed Mismar, Secretary-General of DCA, clarified, during a press conference that the complex, whose foundation stone will be laid within two months, will include the construction of a two-storeyed mosque that will accommodate 1,000 people, costing AED445,000, as well as an eight-class primary school that will serve 280 students, costing AED225,000. The project will also include a clinic with three rooms costing AED85,000, and a water well with an electric pump costing AED6,200, he added.
