The Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC) discussed ways to enhance economic relations between business women of Dubai and Serbia, and enact joint economic and trade partnerships.
This came during a recent meeting between Dr. Raja Al Gurg, President of the Dubai Business Women Council; and Stanimir Vukicevic, Ambassador of Serbia to the UAE, in the presence of Faiza Al Sayed, Vice President of the Dubai Business Women Council.
The two sides reviewed possible avenues of cooperation and investment opportunities that are available in both countries. The two sides also emphasised the importance of benefitting from the strong political ties between the UAE and Serbia to enhance their economic relations.
Dr. Al Gurg highlighted the importance of the Serbian market to the business community in Dubai, since it is considered a gateway to Central and Eastern Europe. She added that business women in Dubai have vast expertise in various economic sectors, and that they are looking forward to expand into the Serbian market
She called for both sides to further cooperate in real estate, agriculture, tourism, and medical sectors, and invited Serbia’s business women to take advantage of the vast investment opportunities in Dubai. She remarked that the council is prepared to facilitate the investments of Serbia’s business women in the emirate, and help them in finding economic partners in Dubai.
In turn, Vukicevic expressed his admiration for the council’s role in empowering and educating women, praising the achievements of Emirati women in Dubai’s labour market. He also extended an invitation to Dubai business women council to visit Serbia and learn more about its investment opportunities.
