HH Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, said that Commemoration Day is an occasion during which “we recall the legacy and act of heroism of the champions of right and giving, who wrote with their blood the values of belonging to this nation, and they were and will continue to be the role model from which generations learn the lessons of sacrifice, bravery, and pride, and follow their footsteps in loyalty to the homeland, its people, and its wise leadership, raise its flag high, and instil noble values that our martyrs established throughout the glorious journey of our country.”
On this occasion, Sheikh Hazza added, “The 30th of November every year is the date when we renew our pledges of loyalty and belonging to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, from his vision, words and deeds we extract the noblest values of defending the homeland and safeguarding its achievements, and work tirelessly to protect its borders, prosperity, and stability. These are the values on which the UAE was established and for which our martyrs sacrificed their precious lives.”
He added, “On this occasion, we support families and relatives of martyrs, members of the armed forces, as well as all security apparatus in the country and express our commitment that all their sacrifices will be immortal and continue the nation’s journey of accomplishments, dignity and pride. I pray to Allah the Almighty of further security, progress and prosperity for the UAE and to rest the souls of martyrs in Paradise.”
