PM Theresa May vowed to combat the “ideology” behind Britain’s worst terrorist attack in 12 years after a suicide bombing killed 22 people at a pop concert. IS claimed responsibility. Campaigning for next month’s general election was suspended indefinitely after the attack in northern city of Manchester. Standing outside her official residence at No. 10 Downing Street in London, clad mostly in black, May said many children had died in an act of “cold calculation.”
“This attack stands out for its appalling, sickening cowardice, deliberately targeting innocent and defenseless young people who should have been enjoying one of the most memorable nights of their lives,” she said.

UAE condemns terror attack

The UAE has condemned the terrorist attack that took place outside Manchester Arena in northern England. In a statement, UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation emphasised UAE’s unwavering stance that rejects terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. It called for intensified and concerted efforts of international community to ensure eradication of serious scourge of terrorism that is contrary to all moral and humanitarian values.
