The Norwegian International Society for Justice and Peace in Oslo honoured Dr Muhammed El-Nahhas, Chairman and CEO of MenaLabs Clinical Pathology Service, with the Medal of Excellence, as a Leader of the Humanitarian Action, among the group of leaders in the Gulf States.
The honour occurred during the First International Forum for the Humanitarian Action Leaders in the Gulf Cooperation Council States, organised by the Norwegian International Society for Justice and Peace in Oslo entitled “Enhancing the Relation between Humanitarian and Development Action,â€
The forum was held at the Intercontinental Dubai Festival City Hotel in presence of Sheikh Khalid bin Humaid Al Qasimi, President of the Emirates Creative Association, Eng Tariq Anani, General Secretary of the Norwegian International Society for Justice and Peace, and a group of influential institutions and figures in the humanitarian field in the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf states.
In a press statement, Dr Muhammed El-Nahhas conveyed his thanks and appreciation to the Norwegian International Society for Justice and Peace for this honour, pointing out that the humanitarian action in the United Arab Emirates is a societal culture based on happiness and love of giving, which was built on humanitarian foundations established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may he rest in peace, since establishing the Federation of the UAE. In addition, the UAE is governed under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may Allah protect him.
Dr Mohammed El-Nahhas commended the great effort and generous giving of the GCC states and their humanitarian system. He said, “we, as ambassadors of the Norwegian International Society for Justice and Peace, believe in the importance of moving forward in the firm humanitarian approach of the UAE, and we will always seek to support efforts in order to enhance humanity, contribute to alleviating suffering, as well as supporting the needy and the most vulnerable groups in the Arab region.â€
