Brazilian machinery export to Arab region reaches $212.17mn

Brazil’s total exports to Arab countries’ construction sector reached $40.24 million in 2017. Brazil’s exports to region’s construction industry included plywood, veneered panels, granite, glazed ceramic flags, wooden furniture, appliances for pipes, boiler shells, and tanks and other machines and mechanical appliances. Machinery exports to Arab nations including Egypt, Kuwait, Saudi, the UAE, Oman and Bahrain reached $212.17 million, an increase of 34% from 2016.
Rubens Hannun, President of ABCC, said: “We have been participating in the trade show since 2003, and have been seeing the Arab market utilise such opportunities to explore business alliances with potential buyers, partners and stakeholders. In addition to making its presence felt, the chamber hopes to spot business opportunities for Brazilian enterprises through its participation at the expo this year.”
