ATDD signs 3 agreements with major tourism companies in Germany

In order to encourage tourist traffic, and promote international partnerships to attract tourists to the Emirate of Ajman, and as part of its strategic objectives to exchange expertise and collaborate with leading travel and tourism companies, the Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) signed three agreements with major tourism companies. This aims to develop the domestic tourism industry in the Emirate of Ajman and attract an increased number of European tourists.
The list of foreign companies with which the ATDD signed the agreements includes the Hannover-based TUI Germany, the Baden Baden-based L’TUR Tourismus and Duisburg-based Schauinsland Reisen, in an effort to promote tourism in the Emirate of Ajman, develop collaboration in the field of tourism and increase the flow of tourists into Ajman.
During its participation in the exhibition, the ATDD officially released the Ajman Mini Guide for Visitors of 2017 in several languages including Arabic, German, Russian, Chinese and English. The guide provides tourists and visitors to the Emirate with information about the unique tourist landmarks, combining historical and archaeological tourism, recreational tourism, ecotourism and other types of tourism and historical landmarks. Moreover, the guide contains a number of activities and events for all types of tourists, community members and visitors from all countries and Emirates visiting Ajman.
Dr Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, President of the Federal National Council, visited the ATDD stand, as well as a delegation from the Embassy of the UAE to Germany headed by HE Ali Abdulla Al Ahmed, UAE Ambassador to Germany, to hear about the tourism practices adopted by the ATDD to make tourism sustainable. The ATDD delegation joined the Dinner reception ceremony held by the Embassy of the UAE for all Emirati tourism authorities, tourism stakeholders, and media participating in ITB Berlin. Moreover, the ATDD held meetings with investors and marketing companies, including a large group of experts, specialists and individuals concerned with tourism from different parts of the world.
His Excellency Faisal Al Nuaimi, General Manager of the Ajman Tourism Development Department, said: “Our participation in this international event is part of our strategy to promote all types of tourism in important global exhibitions. During our participation, we organised several gatherings and meetings with investors and leading travel and tourism companies in order to introduce the tourist products, services and destinations and features of Ajman, and the available investment opportunities in the Emirate.”
He added: “We are signing these agreements with major tourism companies to boost cooperation with them for promoting Ajman tourism destinations and increasing the number of tourists coming to the Emirate from Europe, especially Germany. This is in keeping with the significant growth witnessed by the main tourism destinations in the UAE. We also aim to carry out a number of joint marketing activities, tourist promotion campaigns and familiarization trips in the Emirate.”
Al Nuaimi also said: “We also officially released the Ajman Tourism Guide of 2017, introducing the touristic landmarks of Ajman to a large number of tourists, because many people from around the world visit the exhibition.
He pointed out: “ATDD has designed its stand in line with the Emirate’s tourist vision so as to be expressive of its tourist and heritage identity. We incorporated the elements of national and urban heritage of Ajman through the use of official pictures and slogans of our, and the Emirate’s, vision of 2021, thereby providing a clear conception of the tourist, natural and cultural features of the Emirate of Ajman for all visitors of the pavilion in the exhibition.”
Faisal Al Nuaimi stated that the ATDD stand included a section for display and reception, and another for meetings and hospitality, in addition to screens for display of films about tourism and national heritage of the UAE and the Emirate of Ajman, as well as posters about tourist destinations and pictures of tourist features of the Emirate of Ajman.
