Al Noor Training Centre for Persons with Disabilities (ANTCPD) in partnership with Samsung Gulf Electronics will introduce the Samsung Smart Classroom Solution to two additional classrooms following the success of the programme launch in 2014.
Samsung has provided Al Noor with various mobile tools and technologies since 2010 with the aim of heightening engagement in the classroom. Under the 2016 renewal, the company will donate two of its smart e-boards, the Interactive Whiteboard (IWB), and 24 Galaxy Tab S2 tablets equipped with the Samsung School Solution platform. The suite, which is designed to enrich the learning experience, brings information to life with compelling visuals and interactive functions, such as screen sharing and remote content sharing.
Teachers will also have access to device control and screen monitoring, quizzes and polls, and other instructional support to build learning outcomes that are more effective and longer lasting than more traditional
methods.
“Samsung’s support of Al Noor is on multiple levels. Mutual trust, understanding and the common cause of providing the best for children with special needs is the foundation of this long term partnership,†said Ms. Isphana Al-Khatib, Director of Al Noor Training Centre for Persons with Disabilities.
Reflecting on the program, President of Samsung Gulf Electronics Mr. Ismail Yoon said, “For more than five years, we have been Al Noor’s privileged partner in empowering students to reach new heights with our technologies. This year, we are excited to take our partnership with Al Noor a step further by donating all the tools at our disposal to help make a difference in the lives of these young people. The Samsung Smart Classroom Solution encouraged a stronger academic performance since it was first introduced to Al Noor in 2014, and we are confident that it will support even more students in achieving their goals in the coming year.â€
The long-standing partnership with Al Noor Training Centre is part of Samsung’s commitment to give back to the communities in which it operates and drive the growth of future generations. A global initiative, the Samsung Hope for Children program promotes the advancement of quality, accessible schooling for all children through new technologies, and is dedicated to helping children survive and thrive.
