HH Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Ajman Crown Prince, Chairman of the Executive Council, issued a resolution on the government indicators system regarding the strategic roadmap of Ajman Vision 2021.
The resolution calls for implementing the government indicators system through data collection, analysis and review to support the decision-making, as well as identify normative and appropriateness of targeted programmes and associated strategic initiatives in no later than the end of 2016.
According to the decision, these indicators may be modified upon the recommendation of the General Secretariat of
the Executive Council in light of
relevant regulations.
The resolution assigned the Secretary-General of the Executive Council to issue the necessary decisions, instructions and form committees and teams, and directly supervise all necessary measures. The secretary-general will submit periodic reports to the council on the progress of the implementation and obstacles, and enclosed with recommendations. All concerned individuals and institutions should cooperate fully to implement this decision.
The resolution comes in force from the date of issuance, and shall be published in the Official Gazette, and circulated to the concerned authorities.
Sheikh Ammar said the government indicators system regarding the roadmap of Ajman strategic Vision 2021, “Is characterised by inclusiveness to achieve the goals of the system to support the decision-making, and take into account the differences and privacy in the nature of the work of government agencies.”
He added that the system also focusses on results achieved by the party in accordance with tasks entrusted to it, and its role in achieving the targets of the national agenda of the UAE 2021 through the adoption of more than 12 key indicators within the system, which will serve to motivate authorities to look to the future and keep up with developments.
The Crown Prince of Ajman said the indicators system will ensure the competitive advantage of the emirate, the state and the party that applies it to achieve advanced levels in indicators and sustainable long-term results.
He said that the Government of Ajman is seeking through the development of the system to gain access to best practices and global standards, and contribute to providing a decent standard of living for the citizens and residents of the emirate in line with the requirements of the progress of the UAE in general and Ajman in particular.
Sheikh Ammar commended the efforts of the council, public departments and the indicators system team, urging them to exert more efforts.
