The holy month of Ramadan is a special time to embrace the spirit of giving and make a difference in the community. The month is also an ideal time for business leaders to reflect on the importance of corporate philanthropy. Encouraging this very concept of corporate social responsibility, Al Noor Training Centre is back with the Al Noor-Bank of Sharjah Ramadan CSR Football Tournament 2016, giving corporates the perfect platform to support and contribute towards the special needs community.
The four-day tournament will be held from June 12-16 at ANISA- Al Noor Indoor Sports Auditorium.
The CSR Football Tournament is one of the most successful fundraising initiative of the centre and has positively influenced special needs students by raising funds and creating awareness. Every year the month of Ramadan brings together football lovers across the UAE for a special cause who sweat it out among 16 teams and 160 players. The winning team takes home the coveted Al Noor Ramadan Trophy and prizes sponsored by the tournament Prize Sponsor- Dubai Duty Free. Bank of Sharjah has been dedicatedly supporting the centre for the past five years and this year they have extended their support as the Title Sponsor of the Ramadan Sports Initiative.
Isphana Al Khatib, Director of the Centre, said, “Ramadan is the perfect time for corporates and individuals in the UAE to reiterate their commitment to the society. By participating and supporting such CSR initiatives one only gets closer to fulfill the vision of the nation to become a humanitarian capital, to become a nation that cares for its people. Thus my heartfelt appeal to everyone to come forward and be a part of this initiative to transform the lives of students with special needs.â€
