Al Hilal Bank concluded its ‘Together for the Month of Giving’ campaign as part of its “Joud bil Khair†(Do Good) program. The bank conducted a number of visits that helped spread joy and happiness and reinforce the values of caring, tolerance and giving within the local community. Under this campaign, a ‘Suhour’ event was organized during Ramadan at different locations in Abu Dhabi. The visits covered Al Mudheef Special Needs Center – Zayed Higher Organization in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain Centre for Care and Rehabilitation and a housing complex for laborers in Abu Dhabi.
On this occasion, Mariam Ahli, Head of Corporate Communications, Al Hilal Bank, said: “The bank strives yearly to organize the “Joud Bil Khair” program, during which a series of charitable and humanitarian campaigns are undertaken. Similar to the previous campaigns, the ‘Together for the Month of Giving’ campaign came to strengthen the spirit of cooperation and love and embodies the values of giving and generosity within the community. At the same time, it reflects the Bank’s belief in Ramadan being the month of goodwill and an opportunity to get closer to God through good deeds.â€
“Organizing this campaign is part of our social responsibility and efforts to support all groups of society, especially those who are in need of special care such as people with special needs, orphans, the elderly, and workers. The first two visits of Al Hilal’s fleet were to people with special needs and the third was to laborers. We shared Suhour and spent some quality time with them to show them how much we appreciate what they do,†added Ahli.
Volunteers in ‘Together for the Month of Giving’ campaign contributed significantly to its success. Their participation was proof of how the value of giving is inherent in the local society. The volunteers thanked Al Hilal Bank for giving them this opportunity to be part of an initiative which conveys the true meanings of humanity and induced smiles on the faces of everyone participating.
The “Joud Bel Khair†program is based on a clear vision that aims to spread the culture of volunteering and giving back to the community and promote the spirit of sharing and solidarity during the holy month. It also aims to attract volunteers from the bank and society in general and highlight the essential role the bank plays in humanitarian services and social causes in the country.
