Al Bustan Centre and Residence, the popular hotel-apartment among tourists and businessmen in the heart of Dubai, successfully held a fire drill as part of its commitment in maintaining and securing safety for its in-house guests, residents and employees. The annual drill started when the security fire alarm rang and evacuation took place after. A mock up of an injured person and fuming smoke out of the window were created to give the actual feel of a real fire situation.
Supported by Dubai Police, Dubai Ambulance Services and Dubai Civil Defense, the exercise was participated by the top management team, hotel employees from housekeeping, front desk, food & beverage, and marketing departments respectively.
Moussa El Hayek, Chief Operating Officer, Al Bustan Centre and Residence said: “We, at Al Bustan Centre and Residence are dedicated in keeping the property’s safety and providing adequate knowledge and training to hotel staff on emergency situation such as fire. Rest assured that we will continue doing certain initiatives that will give out guests the wanted peace of mind during their stay.”

Abu Dhabi Ports holds 3rd Annual Fire Safety, Emergency Preparedness drive

Abu Dhabi Ports held its 3rd Annual Fire, Safety and Emergency Preparedness campaign at Zayed Port, to raise fire safety awareness among all port users.
The campaign was held in coordination with Medeor Hospital, Firex, Concorde, OHSEC for Training and Consultant, CEC, Al Masood Company and Uruguay Company.
Under the slogan “Fire is Everyone’s Fight”, the campaign gave all port users, including employees, contractors, warehouse users and tenants, the opportunity to learn about basic fire safety and potential fire hazards at workplace, home and their accommodation.
