The Unmanned System Exhibition (UMEX 2016) and the pilot edition of the Simulation Conference and Exhibition, on Tuesday concluded its activities, which were being held as part of Abu Dhabi Aviation and Aerospace Week, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
The three-day event, which was held in the Abu Dhabi Exhibition Centre, ADNEC, attracted a high turnout of visitors and participants who had access to the latest international products and scientific innovations in the unmanned systems defence sector.
Tuesday saw the signing of seven more deals worth a total of AED216.193 million, which included a contract with International Golden Group Inc. for AED 30 million, another with East Gate Enterprises for crew training on explosive devices worth AED25 million, and the purchase of small and medium sized arms from US company Cubic middle East Inc. for AED15.646 million.
Another contract went to a US company for AED44.147 million, and another, worth AED44.9 million was closed also with International Golden Group for fire training to be used by the presidential guard college.
Deals for the purchase of aircraft engines from Denel Suk worth AED7 millions, and the rental of a system for war game training worth AED49.5 million from German company Rheinmetall Defence Electronics
were also made, bringing the total value of deals signed to AED2,454,357,000bn.
