ADSIC and Microsoft organize information security workshop

The Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Center (ADSIC), recently held a three day workshop with Microsoft at the Shangri-La Hotel – Abu Dhabi. The workshops was attended by IT management, CIOs, CISOs, System Administrators, Identity and Security Engineers from more than 35 government entities with the aim of building capacity and increasing awareness on digital risks and threats.
The three-day workshop was comprised of several presentations and interactive sessions that were delivered by global Microsoft executives and specialists, including topics such as the digital risk and threat landscape by ‘The Microsoft Digital Crimes Unit’, which is a worldwide team of lawyers, investigators, and technical experts with the vision of creating a safer digital experience for consumers and organizations.
Key sessions also included building the secure modern enterprise, Windows 10 security, advanced threat analytics, common hacking techniques, and security incident management, which addressed modern defense and modern attacks of credential theft.
Saeed Al Mansoori, Executive Director of Shared Government Services at ADSIC said,” The workshops with Microsoft provided an opportunity to exchange opinions, insights and advice in regards to the international best practices of information security, in light of the rapidly changing threats faced by the public and private sector in today’s world. We would like to thank Microsoft’s executives for their valuable contribution which was evident throughout all sessions and segments.”
Al Mansoori added, “Interactive workshops are among the best ways to transfer knowledge and enhance awareness, as ADSIC continues to focus on building its partnerships and mutual cooperation with the private sector, while creating effective digital support systems and adhering to the national cyber security policies and standards. This is part of our commitment to improve e-services and protect the interests of our strategic government partners and end-users.
