ABU DHABI / WAM

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has announced the launch of its innovative “ADAFSA Learning Hub” during the Global Food Week.
This milestone coincides with the Abu Dhabi International Food Exhibition (ADIFE), held from November 26 to 28 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
The initiative is part of ADAFSA’s ongoing efforts to enhance agricultural knowledge and establish an integrated digital agricultural community.
The hub enables professional and amateur farmers to connect, exchange ideas, and share best practices in agriculture, livestock, and food safety.
The “ADAFSA Learning Hub” represents a significant leap in the fields of agriculture and food security. By combining theoretical knowledge with practical applications, the hub leverages cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, interactive chatbots, and advanced tools for irrigation calculation and economic feasibility assessments. This ensures users can easily engage with the educational content while improving agricultural productivity.
At launch, the hub will be available in Arabic and English, with plans to expand its offerings to include additional languages such as Hindi, Urdu, and Malayalam.
This multi-language strategy aims to extend its reach to a broader audience, furthering ADAFSA’s mission to expand global knowledge and foster connectivity.
Dr Arif Kalantar, Executive Director of the Development and Innovation Sector at ADAFSA, said, “The launch of the ADAFSA Learning Hub embodies the vision of our wise leadership and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of ADAFSA. It is a step forward in promoting innovation and knowledge in the agricultural and food sectors. The hub aims to empower workers in these sectors by providing diverse educational content that enhances their ability to implement sustainable agricultural practices.”
The launch of the ADAFSA Learning Hub aligns with the objectives of the “Plant the Emirates” initiative, which seeks to bolster local agricultural production and achieve food self-sufficiency. This initiative emphasises raising awareness about sustainable agricultural practices and home gardening while driving innovation in the sector. The hub’s diverse features equip users with detailed guidance and intelligent tools to optimise resource usage, promote sustainability, and reduce the carbon footprint in agriculture.
The ADAFSA Learning Hub offers an extensive array of unique features to enrich knowledge and support agricultural practices in the UAE, such as Specialised Training Courses, Remote Consultation Services, Comprehensive Digital Library, Advanced Interactive Tools, and AI-Powered Chatbot.
Through these features, ADAFSA aims to establish a reliable and innovative hub that connects agricultural communities, supports sustainability, and reinforces food security across the UAE and beyond.
The official launch of the ADAFSA Learning Hub was marked by an engaging video presentation showcasing the hub’s development and identity. A digital inauguration followed, featuring an interactive screen demonstration. ADAFSA’s Director General delivered a keynote speech underlining the hub’s pivotal role in advancing the agricultural sector.
ADAFSA invites farm owners, livestock breeders, students, and agricultural enthusiasts to visit its booth at ADIFE to explore the hub and experience its diverse services, designed to shape a sustainable and innovative future for agriculture.
