Acer unveiled and showcased its latest range of products at a highly-anticipated annual Middle East press conference at Dubai’s Westin Mina Siyahi recently. The event also hosted a number of key speakers, including Daniel Trachino, General Manager of Acer Middle East & Africa, John Miedema, Director of Product Management for Acer EMEA and Joumana Karam, Product Business Unit Head for Acer Middle East & Africa.
The press conference served as a powerful platform to shed light on Acer’s new lineup of groundbreaking products, including:
The new Swift series of ultra-thin and lightweight notebook PCs: Comprised of four lines, namely the Swift 7, Swift 5, Swift 3 and Swift 1, the new ultra-thin models feature Windows 10 and include something for every budget and lifestyle. The extremely thin Swift 7 measures just 0.39 inches (9.98 mm) in height and weighs a mere 2.48 pounds (1.1 kg), providing incredible portability and up to 9 hours of battery life. In addition, models in the Swift 5 and Swift 3 lines include premium features such as metal chassis, 7th Generation Intel® Core™ processors, Solid State Drives, USB 3.1 Type-C ports, fingerprint scanners and more.
The new Spin Series convertible notebooks: The Spin 7, Spin 5, Spin 3 and Spin 1 series run on Windows 10, and incorporate innovative 360-degree hinges, along with Continuum, that enable them to be used in various ways: as a notebook or tablet, in a space-saving display mode, or in tent mode for sharing presentations or watching movies. Providing the ultimate in flexibility, they make computing anywhere, anytime easier than ever. Featuring a 14-inch display in a 13-inch chassis, the Spin 7’s all aluminum unibody is just 10.98 mm thin and weighs 1.2 kg, making it the world’s thinnest convertible notebook.
The Predator series: To bring gameplay immersion to the next level, the predator series has recently undergone GPU refreshes to its Predator 15 and 17 gaming notebooks. The new versions feature GPUs with the all-new NVIDIA Pascal architecture, with up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics and run on Windows 10. This brings the notebooks in line with Acer’s push to have the Predator series ready to power the latest VR devices.
Each of these product lines is powered by cutting-edge technology solutions especially designed to enhance people’s lives.
“At Acer, we place innovation at the core of our business ethos,” said Daniel Trachino, General Manager, Acer Middle East and North Africa. “With this in mind, we have made it our mission to expand our product range with industry-first features that deliver on every front — so reliability, performance, design, flexibility and security. From our ultra-slim or budget-friendly convertible notebooks to additions to our award-winning Predator gaming line, we made sure to offer a comprehensive lineup that provides something for everyone.”
